Leicester City plot move for Callum Doyle

Leicester City are reportedly plotting a move for Callum Doyle.

Rob Tanner of the Athletic reports that the Foxes are exploring a move for the young Manchester City defender. Tanner also reports that City value Doyle between £7-10 million.

Tanner goes on to report that Leicester are interested in signing the City youngster on a permanent deal.

Doyle spent last season on loan at Coventry City as they made the Championship play-off final. They eventually lost to Luton Town on penalties after a 1-1 draw after extra time.

He had an outstanding season for Sky Blues. He featured 46 times and won the Coventry City Young Player of the Season award for his outstanding form.

Former City assistant Enzo Maresca has recently taken charge at Leicester. Following his appointment there have been several Leicester links to City players.

James Trafford was linked with a move to Leicester, as reported by Tom Barclay of the Sun. But it now appears he is on his way to Burnley after City accepted a bid for the young keeper as stated by Mike Minay of BBC Manchester.

John Percy and Mike McGrath of the Telegraph reported that Zack Steffen could also move to Leicester. The American international returned to City after his loan deal with Middlesbrough ended at the end of last season.

With Doyle now linked to Leicester, it may be a Manchester City reunion of sorts at the King Power Stadium should the reported moves eventuate.
