Leicester City linked with move for James Trafford

Leicester City have been linked with a move for James Trafford reports the Sun.

Tom Barclay reports for the Sun that Leicester City are considering a move for a goalkeeper following their relegation last season.

They have reportedly made James Trafford one of their preferred targets. It is unknown at this stage if it will be on loan or a permanent move for the City youngster.

Former Manchester City assistant Enzo Maresca has recently taken charge at the King Power Stadium. Trafford could be the first of several Manchester City youngsters to join Leicester City.

James Trafford is currently on international duty. He has starred for England’s under-21 squad at the under-21 European Championships. The City starlet has kept 4 consecutive clean sheets as England has progressed to the semi-final stage of the tournament.

After starring for Bolton Wanderers last season in League One, a move to a higher quality of football appears on the cards for Trafford.

There is no shortage of suitors for Trafford’s services. Middlesbrough has also been linked with a move for the young Manchester City goalkeeper. Newly promoted Burnley is also reportedly interested in securing James Trafford.

If Trafford’s form continues at the under 21-European Championships, there may well be even more clubs coming in for the young City shot-stopper.
