Darren Moore and Izzy Christiansen took charge of the draw on Sky Sports Main Event following Evertonβs victory over home side Doncaster.
Manchester City welcomed their Carabao Cup opposition to the Etihad earlier this month. And the Blues took the victory despite a depleted squad.
Given that City claimed all three points, the narrow score line did not reflect the dominant performance. In a statement game from the Premier League and European Champions, Phil Foden ran the show.
The tie will take place the week commencing the 25th September, sandwiched into an already packed schedule.
City fans love the Carabao, and we have not won it since our victory over Spurs in 2021 when Laporte scored the winner.
It was the trophy that was missing last season, and it would be great to claim it back.
ManCity.com reminded that this tie has taken place five times before. With City winning three, drawing one and losing one.
Eddie Howes side are no push overs, certainly at their home ground. Nevertheless, it will be an exciting fixture.
