Manchester City’s imminent second bid for Paqueta follows West Ham manager David Moyes’s comments that the midfielder has had his head turned by interest from Pep Guardiola’s side. When asked on the subject before West Ham’s draw with Bournemouth Moyes answered: “He’s fully aware of everything. I explained to him where we’re at, what’s been said, so he knows exactly. There are a couple of football clubs in the world who could turn your head quite easily and Manchester City are probably one of them.”
The potential deal is edging closer with the treble winners returning with another bid for Lucas Paqueta. If Manchester City can get a deal over the line for the Brazilian, it will be a welcome boost for the treble winners on the back of Kevin De Bruyne’s injury against Burnley.
