Barcelona and Manchester City are in talks over a potential deal for full-back Joao Cancelo.
It was reported earlier this week by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano that the Catalan giants had made Cancelo one of their primary targets this transfer window. They are in the market for a right back and see the City man as the ideal target.
Romano has added that the La Liga Champions are set to try again to secure Cancelo from the treble winners. He reports that with the impending sale of Ousmane Dembele to PSG, Barcelona will use some of those funds to attempt to sign the full-back.
“We need a pure right back”, Xavi said few hours ago.

He has since further reported that Cancelo has agreed personal terms with Barcelona. Romano adds that clubs are having ongoing talks over the payment structure of the potential deal.

The full-back impressed at times during City’s pre-season tour of Asia. Sam Lee of the Athletic reported despite his form during pre-season, Cancelo was always likely to leave the club.
As the potential move for Cancelo appears to edge closer, the questions over his future at Manchester City may be answered shortly.
