It isn’t out of the realms of possibility that Jack Grealish could remain at Manchester City when the transfer window closes. If City fail to sign the attacking reinforcements they need, perhaps Enzo Maresca could see value in keeping Grealish in his squad. However, the expectation is that Grealish will find a move before the transfer window closes. Two new reports have named three Premier League clubs as having an interest in bringing Grealish on board. So there are seemingly options out there for Grealish to consider.

David Ornstein has reported for The Athletic that Sunderland attempted to so Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City. Furthermore, Ornstein reports that Sunderland’s offer includes the potential to make the move permanent next summer when Grealish’s contract expires. Lastly it is reported that Sunderland would expect City to cover part of Grealish’s wages if he were to go out on loan to Sunderland.
Following on David Ornstein’s report, Fabrizio Romano reports that Aston Villa and Everton have made contact with Jack Grealish’s camp. It is also reported by Romano that Grealish will decide his future in the coming days. Fabrizio Romano adds that Grealish is keeping all of his options open at this stage.
It has been expected that Jack Grealish would leave Manchester City this summer and that seems the likely outcome.
Jack Grealish has come off the bench for Manchester City in their past two matches against Arsenal and Bournemouth. It was pleasing to see Grealish back on the pitch for City and he did offer Enzo Maresca’s side control in possession and a different look on the left wing. Despite this, it has always felt like Grealish would leave City again. He spent last season on loan at Everton and that may be on the cards once again.
Each of Aston Villa, Everton or Sunderland would offer Grealish the opportunity to play regularly. All three teams need more quality in attack, which Grealish would no doubt provide. Perhaps the most romantic option for Grealish would be to return to Villa. Unai Emery’s side is in need of reinforcement and a return to where Grealish began his career could be a fascinating storyline to monitor. It remains to be seen what Grealish decides to do from here but he does have options to consider.

I believe he will be back to Everton from what I’ve seen reported this morning, or Grealish wants to go back there I have seen reported.
As for Sunderland’s offer, wherever we loan Grealish we’d likely be paying a portion of his wages unfortunately. No one is likely to buy him this summer, as you say he is in the final twelve months of his contract. But you never know I suppose.
Really annoys me that small time Everton got him last season then injured him and then refused to pay the £50m fee they’d agreed to because there wasnt an obligation to buy.
That more than anything is why I’d hate to see him go back there at mates rates.
