(Video) One man defence? Gvardiol has completed it, mate

Gvardiol has impressed with the Blues during the opening games of the season. However, as three Newcastle attackers flew towards him, he was there as a one-man defence.

The Croatian centre-back has already won his first title with City. And he made his home debut against Newcastle on Saturday night in a crucial and inspired victory.

While almost all hope seemed lost with a number of key players missing and a bench of predominantly youngsters, the Blues put on a professional display.

There was a moment in which the home debutant found himself the last man with three attackers on the counter. But he put a stop to that, holding up the attack whilst his teammates returned to position.

A great start to his Manchester City career so far.
