In an announcement on mancity.com, it has been confirmed that Rodri has undergone minor back surgery. As per Manchester City’s statement, Rodri has been feeling discomfort in his back for some time. The surgery that Rodri has undertaken will alleviate the issue and the Ballon d’Or-winning midfielder will now enter a short period of rehabilitation ahead of joining up with Enzo Maresca’s squad for the latter stages of Manchester City’s preseason.

  1. The stronger rumours today 29th seem to be that Real want him and are willing to pay around £45m. I say cash in now. He said earlier about “when the big clubs come for you etc”. Well I think City are a VERY BIG CLUB and we have had our best years from him and is he really up to playing 3 games per week?
    He has been a great player for Us especially with our possession based football but I think the game is evolving into the fast counter attacking game where young and fast legs are needed which is where Anderson comes in and would benefit from a partner to cover.
    Losing Rhodri, whose heart no longer resides in Manchester, may not be the wrench that some fear. Take the money and the same for Savio and buy the young Morrocan
