Pep Guardiola has a good option to employ in midfield at Anfield if Bernardo cannot play.

The midfield pairing of Nico and Nico O’Reilly could be ideally suited to playing against Liverpool. Together, both players formed a strong midfield partnership against Newcastle United last night. Their games complement each other, and both players have the legs and athleticism to keep up with Liverpool’s midfield. That does seem like it could be a key factor in Sunday’s match at Anfield. If Bernardo Silva cannot start, or play, against Liverpool then the idea of starting Nico and Nico O’Reilly does have merit.

I can’t understand why Pep rates Silva so highly. He is over the hill, and he is easily dispossessed and his legs go after 60 minutes. We are better off without him, especially as he will be gone in the summer
