Already Pep Guardiola’s squad looks to be stronger with the additions of Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov. Although neither player can play in City’s upcoming UEFA Champions League fixture against PSG it does appear that Guardiola now has more defensive options at his disposal. That is welcome news considering the injuries that have plagued City’s defenders this season. With the imminent signing of Omar Marmoush set to be confirmed City’s attacking options also appear to be a lot stronger than they have appeared to be all season. There is also the prospect of Oscar Bobb returning from a fractured leg imminently to further bolster City’s attack. All told, City’s squad is looking stronger than it did a month ago.
Who could be next on Manchester City’s hitlist?
It now remains to be seen who Manchester City could target next. A move for Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso may be the next move the world champions pursue. Sam Lee has reported for the Athletic that Manchester City have held talks with Juventus over signing the Italian international. Perhaps he could be the player that City targets next. The need for Manchester City to sign a midfielder is still yet to be addressed so that is another move to watch for over the next two weeks.
Manchester City’s squad is now stronger with the additions of Khusanov and Vitor Reis. It will get stronger again with the arrival of Omar Marmoush. Then all attention will shift as to who City will move for next. That’s the next story to watch for as a busy transfer window for City appears set to become even busier yet.
