Will Manchester City’s dynamic winger be fit for Bournemouth clash?

One player out of Manchester City’s squad who is in doubt for City’s clash with Bournemouth is Savinho. The dynamic winger went off in the second half against of City’s defeat to Tottenham with an ankle injury. At the time it appeared that the Brazilian had suffered a serious ankle injury. But it has been revealed that the dynamic winger only suffered a severe knock to his ankle. Now a new report indicates that Manchester City are assessing whether or not Savinho could play tomorrow.

Reporter Romulo Giacomin has reported via X that Manchester City were evaluating whether or not Savinho could play against Bournemouth. Furthermore, Giacomin reports that Savinho will need less than a week to recover from the ankle injury he suffered against Tottenham. Giacomin further reports that if it were up to the player he would play tomorrow.

Based on Romulo Giacomin’s new report it does suggest that Savinho could be a part of the Manchester City squad for the clash with Bournemouth. It appears that the Brazilian international has avoided any serious injury to his ankle. That is good news for the world champions given the form Savinho has shown so far this season. The Brazilian international has adapted quickly to life under Pep Guardiola. If he can play at the Vitality Stadium he will be hoping to continue his strong start to the season.

Another update on Savinho’s condition has also emerged. AP News has reported that the dynamic winger has been selected for the Brazil squad for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Uruguay. Although international teams will pick players despite being injured so they can assess them themselves, Savinho’s selection for Brazil does indicate that his ankle injury is nothing serious.
