Manchester City and Inter Milan have confirmed their starting lineups ahead of tonight’s UEFA Champions League fixture at the Etihad Stadium. Tonight’s match is the first for both teams in the new-look league phase of the competition.
The world champions received positive news on the injury front ahead of tonight’s match. Savinho and Phil Foden both trained yesterday ahead of tonight’s match. Savinho was substituted late in City’s win over Brentford with what appeared to be a hamstring injury. It turned out to be a cramp, and the Brazilian took his place in City’s squad for today’s match. Phil Foden has recovered from an illness which has sidelined during the early stages of this season. He trained yesterday as he continues to build his way into the new season.
Oscar Bobb and Nathan Ake are the only two Manchester City players who are unavailable for tonight’s match. The pair are both out with long-term injuries and are out for the foreseeable future.
Here are the starting lineups ahead for what promises to be a pulsating match between two of the best teams in Europe.
