Manchester City have received a boost ahead of tomorrow night’s UEFA Champions League clash with Inter Milan. Savinho and Phil Foden have both trained ahead of the clash with the Serie A champions. That is welcome news for Pep Guardiola’s side ahead of what promises to be a tough match at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester Evening News reporter Simon Bajkowski broke the news via X that Savinho has trained today. The Brazilian international was substituted late in City’s 2-1 win over Brentford on Saturday. Pep Guardiola told the media following City’s win that he believed the winger was suffering from cramp. With Savinho pictured training it would appear that he is available for tomorrow’s match.

Meanwhile, Phil Foden was spotted training ahead of tomorrow’s match on a live feed of City training, which was broadcast on mancity.com. That is welcome news for the champions to have one of their most important players back in the fold. Foden was an unused substitute during City’s win over Brentford. Before that, he had been suffering from an illness. But it now appears that Foden is close to returning to the pitch for Manchester City.
The news of Savinho and Phil Foden training means Manchester City are almost at full strength for tomorrow’s clash with Inter Milan. Only Oscar Bobb and Nathan Ake will miss City’s opening fixture of the UEFA Champions League league phase.
