Erling Haaland was yesterday named as the Premier League Player of the Month for August. The award caps off a stunning opening month of the 24/25 season for City’s star striker.

City’s star striker has made a blistering start to the new campaign. Erling Haaland scored seven goals in the first three games. He impressively started the new campaign by scoring in Manchester City’s opening weekend win over Chelsea. But there was better to come for Haaland as the Norwegian international hit back-to-back hat tricks in Manchester City’s wins over Ipswich Town and West Ham.

What has been clear since the beginning of the new season is that Erling Haaland appears refreshed after a summer of rest. With Norway missing out on last summer’s European Championships it gave Haaland the chance to rest over the summer. He has started this season with a vengeance and looks set for huge 24/25 season.
Erling Haaland was a deserved winner of the Premier League’s Player of the Month for August. In truth, there was only one winner of the award such was Haaland’s dominance of the opening month of the new season.
