Pep Guardiola confirms that Oscar Bobb is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines

Ahead of the new Premier League season beginning this weekend, there was bad news on the injury front for Manchester City. Oscar Bobb suffered a fractured leg at training in a cruel blow for the Norwegian international and the world champions. Pep Guardiola has today confirmed that the winger will be out for three of four months with the injury.

Pep Guardiola was asked about the condition of Oscar Bobb during his pre-game press conference ahead of Sunday’s clash with Chelsea. Guardiola informed the media that Bobb would be out for three to four months. Guardiola told the media: “It was in the training session, and unfortunately, he had a big impact and is injured. He will have surgery, and hopefully, he will be well, and we welcome him back as soon as possible in three, four months.

Pep Guardiola also added that he hoped Oscar Bobb had a speedy recovery from the injury. He added: “We are so sad for him. But not because he was making an incredible pre-season. Because that doesn’t matter. When the injury is a long time, it is a problem, and we’re looking forward to seeing him again as soon as possible. A good recovery as quick as possible and that’s all.

It was also reported on mancity.com that Oscar Bobb was scheduled for surgery on his fractured leg today in Barcelona. The hope is now that the surgery is a success and Bobb can begin his recovery from the injury as soon as possible. He looked set for a breakout season during this upcoming campaign and will now have to wait before he begins his 24/25 season.
