Furthermore, Kay reports that City want Dias to sign a new deal that ends in 2030. Kay also reports that contract talks have begun between Manchester City and the Portuguese international. It is also included in Kay’s report that Dias has been seeking assurances about being named captain of Manchester City in the near future. Lastly, Kay adds Dias is also set to receive a pay rise if he signs a new contract.

He has been Manchester City’s rock at the back and he has also become one of the leaders amongst Pep Guardiola’s squad. There is also little doubt that Ruben Dias could potentially become the captain of Manchester City. He sets a high standard for his teammates to follow and his play is that of a natural leader.
