A host of City’s key players began their pre-season training yesterday. Other players besides Kevin De Bruyne and Manuel Akanji returned to City training yesterday. Bernardo Silva, Ruben Dias, Matheus Nunes, Jeremy Doku, and Nathan Ake all joined their teammates for training for the first time this season.

New signing Savinho has also begun his Manchester City career. The summer signing joined his teammates for his first training session yesterday. Saturday’s clash with Manchester United will officially begin City’s 24/25 season. While the FA Community Shield is thought of as a glorified friendly, Pep Guardiola’s side will be eager to get one over their arch-rivals. City lost last season’s FA Cup final to United and will be eager to start the new season with a win. While a win on Saturday won’t make up for that result a win over United could be the perfect beginning to the 24/25 season for Manchester City.

It is an exciting time with a new season just around the corner. Pep Guardiola’s side will be hoping to create more history during the 24/25 season. They will be chasing a fifth consecutive Premier League title and silverware on multiple fronts. That chase begins on Saturday at Wembley against Manchester United.
