Kevin De Bruyne’s future has been one of the constant stories of this summer. There have been various reports linking the Manchester City legend with a potential move to the Saudi Pro League. Rudy Galleti has previously reported that De Bruyne had agreed terms with Al-Ittihad. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano countered that report by reporting that De Bruyne hasn’t agreed terms with Al-Ittihad. Now a new report suggests that De Bruyne is set to stay at Manchester City for next season. If that is the case can we finally move on from speculation that surrounds Kevin De Bruyne’s future?
Jeremy Cross has reported for the Daily Star that Kevin De Bruyne is set to remain at Manchester City for the 24/25 season. Cross further reports that De Bruyne has had discussions with his wife Michele De Bruyne and they aren’t willing to move to the Gulf State due to family reasons.

Can we now move on from the speculation surrounding Kevin De Bruyne’s future?
The new report from Jeremy Cross does suggest that there is no chance that De Bruyne will leave Manchester City this summer. After several conflicting stories this summer the report from Cross does appear to effectively end the discussion for the foreseeable future. It also lines up with Pep Guardiola’s pre-game comments before City’s 4-3 friendly loss to Celtic. The City manager was asked about De Bruyne’s future. Guardiola told the media: “Kevin is not going.”
Surely now the speculation surrounding Kevin De Bruyne’s future has been put to bed. Although it may become a hot topic later in the season as De Bruyne’s current contract runs down. But for now, it appears that the Manchester City legend will be a part of Manchester City’s squad for the 24/25 season. That is a massive boost for the world champions as they plan to contend on multiple fronts next season.
