While there are familiar faces like Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, Oscar Bobb, Stefan Ortega and Ederson in the travelling squad a host of City youngsters will be given the chance to impress. Players such as Callum Doyle, James McAtee, Jacob Wright, Micah Hamilton, Joel Ndala and Jadel Katongo will be eager to impress in the United States. It will also be a valuable learning experience for the City youngsters as they train and play alongside City’s more established players. That could prove to be invaluable as they continue to develop as players.

Manchester City will take on Celtic, AC Milan, Barcelona and Chelsea in the United States. The four friendlies will be vitally important to City’s preparations for next season. Manchester City’s first competitive game of the 24/25 season will be the Community Shield against Manchester United on Saturday, August 10. They will begin their chase for a fifth consecutive Premier League title on Sunday, August 18 when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Based on City’s travelling squad to the United States there is a possibility that a City youngster could play his way into Pep Guardiola’s squad for the early stages of next season. The opportunity is there if anyone of City’s youngsters can impress in the United States.
