As Manchester City returned to pre-season training today a report emerged regarding City’s number one keeper Ederson. The Brazilian international is reportedly a target for Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr. A new report indicates that Al Nassr and Manchester City have a sizable gap in their valuation of City’s number one keeper. The report gives the impression that City will only sell Ederson on their terms.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported on X that Al Nassr’s initial bid for Ederson was a package worth €30 million. Romano further reports that falls well short of City’s valuation of their number one keeper. Furthermore, Romano reports that City want a fee of over €50 million to sell the Brazilian international. Lastly, Romano reports that Ederson has agreed personal terms with Al Nassr and it is now up to the two clubs to agree on a fee for the keeper.
Manchester City are well within their rights to only sell Ederson on their terms.
As it stands currently there is no pressure on Manchester City to sell their number one keeper. Despite Ederson having reportedly agreed personal terms with Al Nassr there is no indication that he wants to leave the world champions. He has not handed in a transfer request and returned to pre-season training today. The Brazilian international appeared in a jovial mood in a video shared on Manchester City’s official X page.

Romano’s new report suggests that Al Nassr will have to match City’s terms to sign the Brazilian international. If they don’t it appears that City will enter next season with Ederson as a part of their squad which would be ideal for Manchester City. He is a crucial part of Pep Guardiola’s squad and makes the world champions a better team. Keeping hold of Ederson this summer would be a major boost for City.
Attention will now shift to see if Al Nassr return with an improved bid for City’s number one keeper. If they don’t match City’s terms the speculation over Ederson’s future may come to an end relatively soon.
