Throughout the transfer window to date, Manchester City have been linked with a host of players. One such player is Bayern Munich starlet Jamal Musiala. The German international is one of the premier young playmakers in world football. A new report indicates that City continues to have an interest in signing Musiala. However, the report adds that a move from the world champions from Musiala does appear unlikely.
Dean Jones has reported for GIVEMESPORT that Manchester City have an interest in signing Jamal Musiala. Jones further reports that a City move for the Bayern Munich starlet is unlikely this summer. But Jones does also report that Bayern Munich’s reported interest in Bernardo Silva could change the situation. Furthermore, Jones reports that Musiala alongside Bayern Munich stalwart Joshua Kimmich have been scouted as potential additions to the City squad in the future if they become available.
Despite the constant links to Manchester City, it appears that a move for Musiala by the world champions isn’t likely.
As a player, the quality of Jamal Musiala isn’t in question. He is by far one of the best young talents in European football. Musiala has shown that throughout his spell at Bayern Munich. This has also been on full display at Euro 24 as the Bayern Munich starlet has been one of the stars of the tournament. Based on his displays this summer for Germany and at Bayern Munich during his young career at Bayern he appears to be the ideal player to come into Pep Guardiola’s squad. With his age, potential and technical ability Musiala could be the perfect player to replace City’s ageing stars such as Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva. But a City move for the German international appears unlikely this summer.
As Jones reports it is highly unlikely that Bayern Munich will part ways with Musiala this summer. Given his standing with the German national team and his potential as a poster boy for German football Bayern Munich will likely not sanction any sale of Musiala. He is too valuable a commodity to the Bundesliga giants. So while he looks to be a player who could be ideally suited to life at the world champions any potential City move for Musiala appears to be a non-starter this summer.
Of course, situations can change quickly in the transfer market. If Musiala put in a transfer request after Euro 24 that could see Manchester City move for the Bayern Munich starlet. But for now, it appears that Musiala is a player the champions admire but won’t be signing this summer.
