Is the Bundesliga about to be raided by Manchester City?

So far it has been a quiet transfer window not only for Manchester City but across Europe. With the Copa America and Euro 24 in action it may take a while for the action in the transfer window to truly kick off. When it does finally kick into gear the champions could be set for a raid on the Bundesliga according to a recent report.

Dean Jones has reported for GIVEMESPORT that the champions have their eyes on several players in the Bundesliga. Jones reports that the champions have an interest in Bayern Munich duo Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala. Though Jones also reports that a City move for Musiala appears unlikely this summer. Furthermore, Jones reports that the champions have their eyes on RB Leipzig midfielder Dani Olmo. He adds that Manchester City have a good relationship with RB Leipzig which may make a deal for Olmo simple to complete for City. Lastly, Dean Jones adds that there is a possibility that the champions could move for Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong.

The Bundesliga may be a happy hunting ground for the world champions.

The quality of the Bundesliga has been known for some time. It is one of the premier leagues in Europe. Germany has proven to be a breeding ground for quality players. Manchester City have had success signing players from Germany in recent windows. The champions signed Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022 after his successful spell at Dortmund. His success in Germany instantly translated into England. The champions will be hoping for similar success if they sign a player or players from the Bundesliga this summer.

Each player linked to Manchester City from the Bundesliga by Dean Jones could become a key player for the world champions. Joshua Kimmich, Jamal Musiala, Dani Olmo and Jeremie Frimpong have all proven to be quality performers in the Bundesliga. If any of the four were signed by City this summer there is no reason why they couldn’t make an immediate impact for Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Manchester City could launch a raid on the Bundesliga this summer. If they do they will be hoping it proves to be a happy hunting ground once again for the club.
