Esteemed Kompany host Steven Mcinerney reacts to Manchester City’s nil-all draw with Arsenal in the video below. It was a frustrating afternoon for the world champions. They struggled to break down a defensive Arsenal side who came to the Etihad determined to leave with a point.

The result sees Pep Guardiola’s side now sit three points behind Liverpool with 9 games to go in the Premier League season. Manchester City also has an inferior goal difference to both Arsenal and Liverpool, which could prove crucial in the title race. Manchester City isn’t out of the title race, but it has gotten a lot after yesterday’s result.

Coming out of the game, it was apparent that Manchester City struggled to break down Arsenal’s rearguard. The champions looked devoid of any creativity in the final third. Pep Guardiola’s side dominated possession, but that didn’t allow them to create any chances. Arsenal does deserve credit for restricting the champions for 90 minutes. But the lack of creativity from City could be a cause for concern coming out of the game.

There was also another injury to the Manchester City defence. Nathan Ake went down with an injury early in the first half and had to be substituted. It is another blow for the champions who have Kyle Walker out with a hamstring injury, and John Stones is not fully fit. It is becoming an issue that is hindering the champions.

Steven Mcinerney reacts to all of this and more in the video below. It isn’t all doom and gloom, but the chase for a fourth consecutive Premier League title became a whole lot harder after yesterday’s draw with Arsenal.
