Bernardo Silva got through a full game for Portugal in their win. He was at his dangerous best throughout the game. It was a Bernardo Silva shot that hit the bar, which allowed Rafael Leao to fire in the rebound for Portugal’s opener. The Manchester City midfielder then turned provider for Matheus Nunes to add Portugal’s second. He got through the entire game for his country and continued his strong form he showed before the international break began.
Ruben Dias also got through a full game for his country. While he was solid at the back City’s defensive leader would have been disappointed to see his country concede twice in their 5-2 win.
In positive news for Manchester City Portuguese manager Roberto Martinez confirmed that Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias would not feature in Portugal’s next match as they were released from international duty. However Matheus Nunes will likely be in action for Portugal in their friendly against Slovenia.
