Jack Grealish is set to return this weekend for Manchester City. The England has been out of action since City’s 6-2 win over Luton Town in the fifth round of the FA Cup. But it appears that he is ready for selection and could feature tomorrow against Newcastle United at the Etihad. The FA Cup holders host Eddie Howe’s side in a FA Cup quarter-final tomorrow as they bid to continue their FA Cup defence.
Pep Guardiola has confirmed that Jack Grealish is back training with the Manchester City squad. The City manager was asked about the status of Grealish who has been out of action with a groin injury. Speaking before his team’s FA Cup quarter-final against Newcastle Guardiola had a positive update on the winger. He told the media: ” He’s getting better. He’ll be selected in the group (this weekend).
It is welcome news for City to have Jack Grealish available for selection. The winger has a vital role to play for the world champions and will need his contribution as they chase silverware on three fronts this season. It is now hoped that Grealish can put his recent injury struggles behind him. The treble winners will need all hands on deck for the final stages of their 23/24 campaign.

Guardiola also provided an update on Kevin De Bruyne and Ederson’s condition. The pair will miss this weekend’s clash with Newcastle but their condition is improving. When asked about the condition of Ederson Guardiola said: “Ederson is getting better. Hopefully, he’ll be ready after the international break.”
The City manager said De Bruyne isn’t ready for tomorrow’s game but he is getting better. Guardiola said when asked about De Bruyne’s injury status: “He (Kevin De Bruyne) is not ready (for tomorrow). He already played at Anfield with some problems. But he’s getting better, just not ready for tomorrow.”
With Jack Grealish set to return it is positive news for City. Also, the injuries suffered by De Bruyne and Ederson don’t appear serious so they do appear to have a chance of facing Arsenal in a crucial Premier League fixture after the international break.
