Yesterday’s result sets up an enthralling three-way battle for this season’s Premier League title. Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City are all well-positioned to win the title this season. The last 10 games of the season will be fascinating to watch. The three teams will fight it out in what could be one of the most hard-fought title races in Premier League history.

For Manchester City, they had to fight and scrap their way to a point at Anfield. John Stones 23rd-minute opener was cancelled out by Alexis MacAllister’s second-half penalty. Besides the opening half hour the treble winners were on the back foot for large spells of yesterday’s game. Jurgen Klopp’s men succeeded in creating the chaos they thrive in against Pep Guardiola’s side at Anfield. But City dug in and rode their luck late on to take home a point. As the title race plays out it could be a precious point for the champions despite not being at their best.

Manchester City could’ve taken all three points as Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku both hit the post late on as both teams went for the win. Despite not playing to their lofty standards they still created moments where they could have won the game. That fact speaks volumes of the determination in this City squad.
