The starting lineups are in ahead of Manchester City’s vital clash with Brentford

Manchester City and Brentford have confirmed their starting lineups ahead of tonight’s vital Premier League meeting between the two sides.

It is a crucial game for Pep Guardiola’s side off the back of Saturday’s draw against Chelsea. The champions will be keen to pick up three points to close the gap to league leaders Liverpool to one point.

They will have to face Thomas Frank’s side without the services of Jack Grealish and Josko Gvardiol. The pair will miss tonight’s match due to injury. Pep Guardiola revealed pre-game that he will have a full squad to pick from besides the injured pair. It will be a boost to the world champions who are in the midst of a busy schedule.

For Brentford, they will be looking for a result to give themselves breathing space from the relegation zone. They currently sit 5 points above the relegation places and will be desperate for any points to take back to London.

They did beat the European champions at the Etihad Stadium last season so a tricky test awaits Pep Guardiola’s side.
