Manchester City are ready to fight until the end warns Kevin De Bruyne

Kevin De Bruyne has a warning for Manchester City’s title rivals that the champions are prepared to fight until the end to reclaim the Premier League title. It should come as no surprise that the champions are ready to go the distance to retain their crown.

Speaking with the Standard Kevin De Bruyne warned City’s title rivals that the champions will fight all the way for the remainder of the season. City’s inspirational midfielder said: “Liverpool and Arsenal are there with us, but I’d say even (Aston) Villa and Tottenham are close. We will be fighting with five for the moment. There’s a little pressure anyway to do well, but there’s no point looking at what’s going to happen in two months. We need to win games now and try to enjoy it. We know what we need to do. The pressure is always there, but we’re ready to fight again until the end.

Kevin De Bruyne and Manchester City have become known for their ability to fight until the end in previous title races. It was evident at the conclusion of the 21/22 title race. Pep Guardiola’s side famously came from 2-nil down to beat Aston Villa 3-2 to beat Liverpool to the League title. That win was a testament to the will and determination of the Manchester City squad. It may be a trait that is required again during the final stages of this season.

As it stands currently Manchester City sits two points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool with a game in hand. Pep Guardiola’s side has won 9 consecutive games in all competitions following their 3-1 win over Brentford on Monday evening.

They are beginning to build ominously and the pressure is beginning to shift onto their title rivals. With City prepared to fight until the end, it will be up to their rivals to keep pace with the champions.
