Manchester City have no concerns over their superstar striker’s future at the club

Manchester City have no concerns over their superstar striker’s future at the club. Spanish publication AS had reported that Erling Haaland would seek to leave the club for Real Madrid this summer. Despite the constant links to Real Madrid, a new report indicates that Manchester City have no concerns over Haaland’s future with the club.

Pete O’Rourke has reported for footballinsider247.com that Manchester City have no worries over Haaland’s immediate future at the Etihad. He adds that City superstar striker’s future appears to be with Pep Guardiola’s side. Furthermore, O’Rourke adds that Haaland is happy playing under Pep Guardiola and has no plans to leave Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola shrugged off the reports from the Spanish media before City’s 3-1 win over Brentford. When asked about the reports from Spain Guardiola said: “I don’t know, you have to ask the media from Madrid. Maybe they have more info than we have. We don’t have that feeling that he’s unhappy. He was (unhappy) because he could not play for two months because he was injured but maybe the media from Spain, and especially Madrid, have more information than us.”

Pete O’Rourke’s report indicates that the constant Erling Haaland links to Real Madrid are a non-event. A player of Haaland’s stature will be linked with the biggest clubs but he is currently playing for the world champions in Manchester City. With that comes the stature and presence in the game that Erling Haaland already commands.

Manchester City’s superstar striker’s return to the pitch has also been a boost to their treble defence. He put in a prominent display against Brentford despite not scoring. Haaland’s performance also showed that his game is developing under Guardiola it seems set to continue as O’Rourke’s report indicates.
