Manchester City have reportedly agreed on a deal to bring Brazilian winger Savio to the club this summer. Savio has starred for Girona in their rise in La Liga this season which has now seemingly earned him his dream move to Manchester City.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has reported via his official X account that Manchester City have agreed a deal to sign the Brazilian winger. Savio is currently on loan at Girona from CFG club Troyes. Romano adds that there was also interest from German and English clubs for the winger. Furthermore, Fabrizio Romano reports that the youngster is now fully focused on finishing the season strongly with Girona. Romano further reports that documents will be signed in the next few days to make the move to City official.
The young Brazilian winger has starred in Girona’s rise this season. Across all competitions, he has scored 7 goals and added 7 assists in 27 appearances this season. His dribbling and technical ability have caught the eye this season. The strong performances from Savio this season have caught the eye of a host of clubs as reported by Romano and it now appears that Manchester City have won the race for his signature.
In an interview with Premier League Brasil the young winger expressed his goal of one day playing for Manchester City. Savio said: “I have the goal of playing for City, yes. I think that when I was hired my goal was always to get to City and I’m working towards that. But I have to keep my focus on Girona and do things well to get there.”
It appears that the Brazilian winger has now got his wish with a move to Manchester City appearing imminent.
