Manchester City have decided that the development of promising youngster Micah Hamilton is best served by remaining at the club. Hamilton burst onto the scene earlier this season. He scored his first goal for the club in his first-team debut against Red Star Belgrade. The young winger had been the target of several loan offers which have been rejected it has been revealed.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported that Manchester City have rejected several loan offers for Hamilton. He added that Watford and two other Championship clubs were keen to secure Hamilton on loan this month. Furthermore, Romano adds that the treble winners want Hamilton to remain with the first team for the remainder of the season.
Micah Hamilton has the potential to succeed at City. He is an extremely talented prospect and training with Pep Guardiola’s squad with only further his development. He has risen through the ranks of the Manchester City academy to earn a spot in Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad.
A loan to a club in the Championship could’ve provided the promising youngster with first-team experience. James McAtee made a mark in the Championship last season. He continues to do so this season at Sheffield United in another loan spell. The spell in the Championship has aided McAtee’s game. But Manchester City have decided that Hamilton is better served by following the path of Oscar Bobb who trained with the first team before making his mark this season.
