On the back of last season’s treble success, the world champions brought in €826 million in revenue. It was the club’s highest-ever revenue for a season. Last season’s UEFA Champions League success and strong broadcast and commercial revenue laid the foundation for Manchester City’s record-breaking revenue.
Real Madrid took the top spot from Manchester City for 2024 with a figure of €831 million in revenue. PSG, Barcelona and Manchester United rounded out the top 5 clubs in the Deloitte revenue list for 2024.
Manchester City’s strong financial return and place on the Deloitte revenue list highlights the club’s stature in world football. The club has now become a financial powerhouse which sets the club up on and off the pitch. Since 2020 the club’s revenue has grown in each year marking a rise in record-breaking revenue for the club.
The club’s on-field success has also been a strong part of City’s rise to a financial powerhouse. Over a decade of sustained success on the pitch has translated to a strong position off the pitch for the European champions. The club won a historic 5 trophies last calendar year a feat that hadn’t previously been achieved by an English club. Pep Guardiola’s side’s achievements were also a contributing factor in the clubs record-breaking revenue.
