Erling Haaland has returned to training in Abu Dhabi as he continues to recover from a foot injury. City’s star striker has missed Pep Guardiola’s side’s past 9 games with a foot injury.
Images shared on Manchester City’s official X account show the star striker back in training. It is welcome news for the treble winners after the striker had a setback in his return from a foot injury. City’s number 9 was forced to rest the week before his team’s win over Newcastle at St.James Park.

The return of Erling Haaland to training is another boost for the world champions. John Stones returned to training yesterday and now the Norwegian striker has returned to the fold. Ederson also resumed training in Abu Dhabi after his knock against Newcastle. It means only Manuel Akanji is yet to return to training after his injury against Huddersfield.
It is expected that Manchester City will take a cautious approach with Haaland’s return. Given he has missed his team’s past 9 games and has not played since early December he will need time to return to full fitness.
But the news of Erling Haaland returning to training is a good start to the week for Pep Guardiola’s side. The treble winners are currently in Abu Dhabi continuing their midseason camp.
An update on the star striker’s recovery is expected from Pep Guardiola on Thursday. The Manchester City manager will face the media before his side faces Tottenham in the FA Cup fourth-round tie at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Erling Haaland is the European champion’s top scorer this season with 19 goals in all competitions. His potential return will provide the European champions with a huge boost for the second half of the season.
