Reports link a City striker with Real Madrid but he looks at home at City

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has once again been linked with a summer move to Real Madrid. But despite this, the Norwegian striker appears at home at the Etihad. The striker was seen enthusiastically  urging on Jeremy Doku during the winger’s return from injury.

Spanish media outlet AS has reported that the Manchester City striker would join Real Madrid tomorrow if it were up to him. They further add that the release clause for Haaland is only set at £86 million. Furthermore, they also report that the reported €200 million release clause only applies to English Premier League sides.

It remains to be seen what may play out during the summer but based on the images of Haaland watching his team appears right at home at Manchester City. The striker was seen supporting his team from behind the City bench as Pep Guardiola’s side cruised to a 5-nil win over Huddersfield Town. He took particular delight in Phil Foden’s wonder strike for Pep Guardiola’s side’s fourth of the game.

Despite the AS report, there has been no indication of Erling Haaland either looking to leave Manchester City or being unhappy at the club. The City striker appears to be enjoying life at the club and he is adored by Manchester City fans. Jack Gaughan had previously reported for the Daily Mail that the champions were set for talks to extend their star strikers contract.

Haaland is currently on the comeback trail from a foot injury. He appears at home at City despite the reports linking him with a summer move to Real Madrid.
