Juventus withdraw themselves from the chase for Kalvin Phillips

Juventus have withdrawn from the chase to secure Kalvin Phillips it has been reported. The Serie A giants were previously linked with a loan move for the England international as reported by Fabrizio Romano. But it appears that they are out of the running for his services according to a recent report.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Juventus have no intention of following through with their interest in Phillips. He further reports that the Italian club have baulked at Manchester City’s demands. The champions expect a sizable loan fee in any deal for their forgotten man Romano adds.

It would appear that Newcastle United are now the favourites to secure the former Leeds United man. With Juventus out of the race, it seems that a move to another Premier League club may be the best option for Kalvin Phillips.

Pete O’Rourke reports for footballinsider247.com that Tottenham are monitoring Kalvin Phillips. Furthermore, O’Rourke adds that West Ham is also interested in a possible deal for the City midfielder.

As it stands there have been no concrete bids for the England international. With Juventus out of the race, it would appear that the suitors for the England international are now a host of domestic clubs.

After turning down the opportunity to leave the champions during the summer the saga of Phillips future continues to roll on.
