Manchester City starlet James McAtee is proving he can thrive at the top level. The midfielder is thriving out on loan with Premier League club Sheffield United. It’s McAtee’s second loan spell with the Blades following on from his successful loan spell at the club last season.
Since completing a loan move to Sheffield United on the summer transfer deadline day McAtee the youngster has shown he has what it takes to be a Premier League player. He has played 17 games for the Blades and his technical ability has been a stand-out out in a side battling for their Premier League survival. In all competitions so far this season the Manchester City starlet has scored 3 goals and added 3 assists as he begins to make his mark on this season.

The talent has never been in question for McAtee. What has stood out during his spell with the Blades is his maturity and physicality to compete at the top level. It is a necessity to make it in the Premier League and McAtee has shown he has the capabilities.
McAtee put in a man-of-the-match performance yesterday in his side’s 4-nil FA Cup win over Gillingham. He scored twice and added an assist in a performance that gave a glimpse into the player he could become consistently. McAtee dominated the game and was his side’s main creative weapon in midfield as he guided his side to victory.

McAtee’s progress this season is City’s gain. When he returns to the club he would’ve proven he can make it at the top level.
