Is a Crystal Palace star on Manchester City’s radar?

Could a Crystal Palace star be on Manchester City’s radar? The champions have been linked with a possible move for winger Michael Olise. The Frenchman has starred for Roy Hodgson’s side in recent weeks.

The young French winger has returned to form following an injury-interrupted start to the season. After missing the first 11 games for Crystal Palace he has returned with a bang. The winger has scored 5 goals in 9 appearances. Given his eye for goal and talent he could easily slot in on a right wing for the world champions.

Playing on the right wing the French youth international has put in a series of dominant displays. Playing on the right and cutting in on his left foot there are similarities to former City winger Riyad Mahrez. Based on his recent performances and his age it would appear to make Olise a prime target for the treble winners. The 22-year-old has thrived under Roy Hodgson and it appears only a matter of time before a big club swoops for the Crystal Palace star.

Wayne Veysey has reported for footballinsider247.com that the form of Olise has caught City’s eye. Veysey further adds that the treble winners could face competition from Liverpool and Chelsea for this young winger. Furthermore, he reports that Olise is expected to leave Palace in the summer.

Given Manchester City’s preferred method of targeting young players with room to grow, it would appear to make the Crystal Palace star a prime target for Pep Guardiola’s side. His Premier League experience would also come in handy and help him adjust to City if a move materialised.

The future of Olise and Manchester City’s interest in the winger could become a story of interest in the summer transfer window.
