Pedro Neto is the latest player linked to Manchester City

Wolverhampton Wanderers exciting winger Pedro Neto has become the latest name linked with a move to Manchester City. The dynamic winger has had an outstanding season for Gary O’Neil’s side so far this season.

Steve Kay has reported for footballtransfers.com that Manchester City have joined the race for the winger. Kay reports that Arsenal were considered the front-runner for the Portuguese winger’s services. Furthermore, Kay adds that representatives from Manchester City have begun talks with the agent of Pedro Neto in regards to a move to the European champions. In addition, he also adds that the world champions have a good relationship with Nero’s agent and their Wolves counterparts.

Steve Kay adds that Pedro Neto has also told his club that he won’t be seeking a move in the January transfer window. If a Manchester City move for Neto is to take place it appears to be a summer transfer window move.

The Portuguese winger had been in sparkling form for Wolves so far this season. He has scored one goal and added 8 assists in 11 Premier League games this season. He was also man-of-the-match in his 2-1 win over Pep Guardiola’s side at Molineux earlier this season. The winger gave Nathan Ake a torrid time and was a constant threat to Manchester City on that occasion.

With Arsenal also interested in Neto’s services it may be another battle between the two rivals in the summer. With Manchester City having a good relationship with Wolves and Neto’s representatives it may give them an advantage in any possible transfer tug of war.
