The starting lineups are confirmed for Manchester City’s clash with Fluminense

The starting lineups have been confirmed ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup final between Manchester City and Fluminense. Pep Guardiola’s side will be aiming to create history against Fluminense. The European champions will be looking to add the FIFA World Club Cup to their treble and the UEFA Super Cup they’ve won in 2023. A City win ensure they are the first English club to hold the Premier League, FA Cup, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

Fernando Diniz’s Fluminense side will be looking to add the FIFA Club World Cup to their Copa Libertadores title and upset the European champions.

The game promises to be an entertaining affair in a battle between the European champions and the Copa Libertadores champions.

Manchester City

The European champions have made three changes to the starting lineup that defeated Urawa Red Diamonds 3-nil in City’s semi-final. In comes Ruben Dias, Rico Lewis and Julian Alvarez. Out goes Manuel Akanji, Mateo Kovacic and Matheus Nunes who drop to the bench for club football’s showpiece final.

Manchester City will be without Erling Haaland, Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku who all miss the final due to injury.
