Haaland, Doku and De Bruyne make progress in their return from injury in Saudi Arabia

In positive news for Manchester City Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku have returned to training as they recover from injury. It is positive news for Pep Guardiola’s side to have the pair back after their injury lay offs. In even more positive news midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has continued training as he looks to return from hamstring surgery.

City’s number 9 has ramped up his recovery from a foot injury. Haaland has missed his side’s last four games in all competitions as he recovers from a foot injury. The return of the treble winners top scorer will be a boost for Pep Guardiola’s side. The striker is a key piece of the Manchester City set up and it does appear that City’s next Premier League game against Everton may feature a return for Erling Haaland.

In another boost for the treble winners Jeremy Doku has also returned to the training track. The dynamic winger has been out since City’s 3-all draw with Tottenham. The European champions have taken a cautious approach with Doku’s return as he recovers from a hamstring injury as reported by Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail.

And finally Kevin De Bruyne has continued to train ahead of his return from hamstring surgery. It marks the second time the midfielder has trained since he was injured in City’s opening day win over Burnley.

The trio are ruled out of City’s FIFA Club World Cup final against Fluminense. Haaland and Doku may return against Everton in a week’s time but De Bruyne may need more time before he returns.
