Here are the City player ratings as Manchester City returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Luton Town at Kenilworth Road. The hosts took the lead on the stroke of halftime through a towering header from Elijah Adebayo. The pressure was on for the champions to respond in the second half and they did. Two goals in three minutes from Bernardo Silva and Jack Grealish were enough for Pep Guardiola’s side to claim all three points. It also ended City’s four-game run without a win and put them 4 points behind league leaders Liverpool. It could be the win to reignite City’s season after a recent rough spell for the European champions. Here are the City player ratings from the hard-fought win.
City player ratings:

Kyle Walker-6.5/10: Was poor in the first half but looked like the Kyle Walker of old in the second half. A much better performance from the City captain.
Ruben Dias-6/10: Caught out for Adebayo’s header. Was a lot better in the second half and had a cracking effort tipped onto the bar. Is starting to get back into form.
Nathan Ake-8/10: Almost City’s man of the match. Did his job with a minimal amount of fuss and was rarely beaten. Outstanding performance from Ake.
Josko Gvardiol-7/10: Was a constant threat going forward down City’s left-hand side. One of his better performances in the past month before being substituted.
Rodri-7.5/10: Showed why he’s so important to Pep Guardiola’s side with another dominant display. It was his driving run that set up Bernardo Silva’s equaliser.
