Erling Haaland is pleased with the start to Manchester City’s season

Erling Haaland is pleased with the start Manchester City have made to the 23/24 season. The European champions have booked their place go the UEFA Champions League knockout stages after 4 group-stage games. They also sit top of the Premier League after 12 games. It represents a strong start to the season after last year’s successful season.

Speaking following City’s 4-all draw with Chelsea Haaland was happy that the treble winners had started the season so well. He said: “We’ve been doing really good, we’re top of the league and already through in the Champions League. It’s been a really good couple of months – better than last season to be honest. It’s been a good start.”

Manchester City currently lead the Premier League league table by one point after 12 games. Liverpool and Arsenal trail the reigning Premier League champions with City due to host Liverpool following the international break.

City’s number 9 was happy to score a brace against Chelsea, but disappointed to see his side only take a point. Haaland told the media: “I feel good to score but a bit disappointed to not win. One point is better than zero. It’s not easy to come here. We know Chelsea are a good team, so we prepared to play them, and we did our best. We didn’t play bad, we made mistakes but that’s football.”

City’s draw with Chelsea and the point earned by Pep Guardiola’s side may be a crucial point come the end of the season. With one point separating City, Liverpool and Arsenal a tight title race may be in the cards this season.

Erling Haaland and his teammates are now on international duty. They will return on November 25th with a top of the table clash with Liverpool at the Etihad.
