When asked about his partnership with the Gerd Muller Trophy winner Alvarez said: “There’s been a lot of speculation about if we can play together. We’ve shown we can. The previous season, too. Whenever we’ve played together, we’ve scored and contributed with assists. I’m happy for what he’s achieved.”
The pair have formed a devastating partnership up front for the treble winners. Alvarez has scored 7 goals and laid off 5 assists so far this season. Haaland has scored 13 goals and contributed 3 assists this season. The pair have caused opposing sides all sorts of issues so far this campaign.
Julian Alvarez also spoke of his joy at Pep Guardiola’s side’s success since he arrived at the club. The striker was a key part of the City side that secured the treble. Alvarez explained: “It’s incredible to have won all these titles in a season. I don’t think many had done it before.
