(Video) Was the Manchester derby win City’s best performance of the season?

Was City’s Manchester derby win their best performance of the season yet? Special guests join Esteemed Kompany host Steven Mcinerney to dissect City’s dominant win over Manchester United.

Steven is joined by Amos Murphy of the City Report podcast and Mulv from the Noisy Neighbours Pod to review City’s performance against their local rivals. It was utter domination from the treble winners as they taught their neighbours a footballing lesson. The game had all the hallmarks of Pep Guardiola’s side returning to their best.

A brace from Erling Haaland and a goal late to Phil Foden was enough for City to seal three points. City’s number 9 has returned to his devastating best of late. His double made it 5 goals in his last 3 games. His unselfishness was also on display as he provided Foden’s goal with an inch-perfect assist. The Norwegian striker has begun to hit the scoresheet with regularity of late which has coincided with Pep Guardiola’s side beginning to hit their straps.

The return from suspension of Rodri and John Stones from injury has seen the City machine begin to tick again. Rodri and Stones importance to Pep Guardiola’s side was on show in City’s defeats to Wolves and Arsenal. Their return has seen the treble winners begin to return to their best form. With the pair back in the lineup it allowed Jack Grealish and Bernardo Silva to wreak havoc. With all of City’s key pieces in form and back in the lineup the champions have begun to click.

Was the 3-nil Manchester derby win City’s best performance of the season? Hear Steven Mcinerney and his special guests thoughts in the video below.
