A brace from Erling Haaland helped fire Manchester City to their third consecutive UEFA Champions League Group G win. The Norwegian striker has now scored 3 goals in his past 2 games for City and looks like he is returning to his best form. He hasn’t started the season slowly by any stretch but looks like returning to his goal-scoring feats from a season ago. City’s number 9 came in for special praise from Pep Guardiola post-game for his performance.

Jack Grealish put in arguably his best performance of the season for City in the win. It was a welcome return to form for the England international and a reminder of his quality after a slow start to the season. Grealish returning to his best is a boost for Pep Guardiola’s side especially with the derby against Manchester United coming up this weekend.
City made seven changes to their starting eleven for the win over Young Boys. Guardiola said post-game it allowed him to freshen up his squad. Matheus Nunes, Mateo Kovacic and Rico Lewis showed they are ready when called upon with their performances in the win.
