Manchester City vs Brighton and Hove Albion: Starting lineups confirmed ahead of kick off

The starting lineups have been confirmed ahead of Manchester City vs Brighton at the Etihad. Pep Guardiola’s side will be looking to return to winning ways after losing their last two games in the Premier League. Back-to-back defeats to Wolves and Arsenal mean City’s clash with Roberto De Zerbi’s side takes on extra significance.

For Manchester City Stefan Ortega replaces Ederson in goal for Ortega’s first start in the Premier League this season. Midfield lynchpin Rodri also returns after serving his three-game suspension which will be a huge boost for the treble winners. John Stones also starts his first Premier League game of the season after returning from injury before the international break.

Nathan Ake, Ruben Dias, Mateo Kovacic, Ederson and Rico Lewis all drop out from the starting eleven that lost 1-nil to Arsenal before the international break.
