Manchester City are still keeping tabs on Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze it has been reported. The midfielder has thrived during his time at Selhurst Park and he was linked to City during the summer transfer window.
It has been reported by Pete O’Rourke of footballinsider247.com that the treble winners continue to monitor Palace’s star man. In addition to monitoring Eze, O’Rourke adds that Txiki Begiristain and Pep Guardiola are huge admirers of the England international. Football Insider had previously reported that Crystal Palace valued their key man at £70 million.

Manchester City were linked with Eberechi Eze during the summer transfer window. Dom Smith and Nizaar Kinsella of the Standard reported that City had their eyes on Eze after a move for Lucas Paqueta collapsed due to an ongoing betting investigation into the Brazilian midfielder. The European champions signed Matheus Nunes on deadline day as a move for Eze failed to materialize.
Eberechi Eze has impressed since joining Crystal Palace from QPR. He has gone on to make 102 appearances for Palace in all competitions contributing 16 goals and 13 assists. He has also become an England international since moving to Selhurst Park. Eze has made two appearances for England so far in his career.
The England international is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury. He picked up the injury in Crystal Palace’s 1-nil win over Manchester United at Old Trafford. BBC Sport had reported that he was expected to miss 6 weeks with the injury.
With City monitoring Eze, he could become a transfer target either in January or more than likely next summer.
