Kalvin Phillips is considering his future with Manchester City

Kalvin Phillips is considering his future with Manchester City it has been reported. The England midfielder failed to make an impression while Rodri was suspended and it does appear his days at the Etihad are numbered.

Rob Dawson of ESPN reports that Phillips is considering his future at the European champions. He adds that the former Leeds United midfielder is losing faith that he will ever be a regular at City.

Kalvin Phillips is ready to consider options to leave #ManCity in January. The 27-year-old is losing faith that he will ever be a regular. With Rodri available again and @ManCity out of the Carabao Cup, Phillips fears opportunities will be limited.

In addition to considering his future with the club, Dawson adds that Phillips is desperate to retain his place in the England set-up. With the European Championships next summer the midfielder is keen to keep his spot in Gareth Southgate’s squad. Furthermore, Dawson adds that Gareth Southgate had advised Phillips his England situation would improve if he played regular first-team football.

Mark Douglas of inews.co.uk reported earlier this week about Newcastle and Everton’s interest in Phillips. Martin Blackburn of the Sun has reported that Bayern Munich are monitoring the situation with the England midfielder. He adds that Bayern are keen to strengthen in midfield and may offer Phillips an escape from the Treble winners.

It does appear a resolution may be on the horizon concerning Phillips future. With no shortage of suitors for his services it may be a deal done early in the January transfer window.
