The City boss believes facing Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium is one of City’s toughest challenges. Arsenal have returned to title contention following several years in the wilderness. With manager Mikel Arteta given time to build his squad, the Gunners are expected to be title challengers once again this season. The signings of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya are a sign of Arsenal’s intentions this season.

Guardiola also gave an update on the injury status of Kevin De Bruyne and John Stones. De Bruyne is recovering from surgery to repair his troublesome hamstring, and the City manager provided a positive update on his progress. He also said John Stones isn’t expected to feature for City on Sunday. Stones hasn’t played since the FA Community Shield. The defender is working his way to full fitness as he recovers from a hip injury.
