A positive boost to the squad with the return of Bernardo and Stones. While Rodri is available for match day two of the Champions League group stage.
Bernardo returns to the starting line up having been out through injury. A welcome sight following two defeats.
Meanwhile, Stones takes his place on the bench with it looking the strongest it has in weeks.
Despite possibly being City’s most influential forward player for the last few games, Alvarez drops to the bench. I wonder if Pep has one eye on Sunday’s clash…
Walker keeps his spot in the starting XI as captain, alongside Akanji, Dias and Gvardiol. The Croatian defender returns to the home of his former club.
A sneaky surprise included with the addition of Rico Lewis, presumably alongside Rodri for additional control. RB Leipzig are excellent on the counter and Rodri may need some support in the middle.
A front the of Foden, Grealish and Haaland is an exciting one. However, it could also be the most sensible.
Haalands ability to draw defences out of position, Foden’s creativity and directness with the control and tempo of Grealish could be the most balanced front three we have seen for a while.
